i have win7 installed on one of my computers and i just installed Ubuntu 14.04 on it along side win7 when i installed Ubuntu i set it up to ask on startup what OS i wanted to boot, it does ask but if i don't choose within like 10 sec or so it automatically boots to Ubuntu. how do i stop that or at least switch it to start windows instead of Ubuntu? cause i use windows, i just got Ubuntu on there for the purpose of learning Linux. :banghead:

Presuming you don't want to hack around with Linux boot configuration files, my advice is to install Grub-customizer in Ubuntu. Once you do that, you can change the default OS using the app, and it will make the changes needed to the config files.
