For the past while My laptop has been rebooting by itself when I log in to my account. No BSOD, it just says the computer wasn't should off proper and gives me the options of Safe Mode, SM w/ Network, ETC. Sometimes I get to the desktop, sometimes I enter my password and then it does does it, sometimes it just seems to be a constant start-up loop. Safemode works just fine.

I've run numerous scans, but nothing seems to come up. I just rebooted from a disk and it worked fine for a short while, but now it's doing it again. The only thing I've re-installed is AVG. Its probably bricked, but any advice would be greatly appreciated

Make sure your power cable is not faulty, and that the battery is properly inserted. Sometimes a slight loss of power can cause this issue.

You may have programs running at startup that is causing this issue. Please see this tutorial to temporary disable them and see if the issue is resolved:

You know, around the time this started i noticed it wasnt holding a charge like it used to, which I figured was normal (its 2 years old) and was saying that I should consider replacing the battery. I just never put 2 and 2 together. It may have been this simple all along
