Thanks to a poor initial launch followed a few months later by the Heartbleed scare, Healthcare.gov has had its share of security problems. Now, we can add one more security snafu to the list. In early July, a hacker was able to infiltrate a server connected to Healthcare.gov, deposit malware on it, and remain undetected for about a month and a half.

The good news is no personal information was compromised and it appears the malware was never actually used, according to CNN. The compromised server was a test machine that site developers use to try out code before pushing it live on the servers hosting the actual site. The server did not contain any personally sensitive information such as names or Social Security numbers.

That's what people are hoping/ saying but eventually everyone will be on it because there will be no incentive for employers to provide health insurance anymore ;)

Then I will not have health insurance.

I am not going to pay $300 a month for something I do not even use. I would rather pay the fine, its cheaper then paying the cost of health care.

I go to the doctor maybe once a year.

Sigh. Canada is looking so good now...

Canada already has socialized medicine has for many years as far as I've read ;)
At this point the fine is the less of the two evils but that's I believe to rocket in two years but the amount revolves around income first couple at 2-5% much cheaper :)

I am not saying people should not have it, I am saying it should be affordable and not outrageous pricing for something I barely use.

I don't believe there is such an animal as "Affordable healthcare"
If you would pay 300 a month that's a pretty good deal when the average is more than 400 ;)
The only affordable policies come from employers and they're on the hit list with all of the now subsidies from the affordable care act,
States will eventually have to pick up the costs of Medicaid expansion so that will undoubtedly turn into another state income tax ;)

Seeing what you guys have to pay for medical treatment frightens the life out of me, if I had to directly pay I'd never get anything fixed and would probably be dead by now.

Ya, but for the people who do not make much, you still have to pay crazy pricing for health care. It is ridiculous. $300 just for me a month for health care is not reasonable.

I broke my foot a couple of years back stepping off a curb, total cost $35,000.00 +. My cost about $2,000.00.

My wife decided to test the hardness of the ground with her face a couple of weeks back, she fell, 7 stitches and one xray, $3,300.00. Her out of pocket cost $98.00.

The cost of those two unusual non sickness related events would provide 10 years of insurance at $300.00 a month. Glad we have it. You don't have to be sick to go broke paying for health care services without insurance.

I'm just curious, do you folks who don't have health insurance pay for Life Insurance? That's something You will never see a benefit from. Your survivors yes, you ..no.
