create a systam image - no hard disk listed

Hello everyone

I want to make windows 7 system image but when it asks me where to save backup there is no hard disk listied.

I need it very much, if someone knows anything, help pls

yes but, its possible to save backups on same physical drive, but on another partition

I agree that you should be able to backup the 1st partition to the second (verified on my system). I don't see anything obviously wrong in your screenshot of Disk Management.

Just a shot in the dark but you could try opening a command prompt and entering "sfc /scannow" (no quotes) to check your system files.

One of the reasons one makes backups is because of a hard drive failure. If you backup is on the same hard drive it will do you no good.

I would recommend doing a backup to another hard drive. Preferably a external one.

As an addition to that advice..... Use macrium reflect FREE of AOMEI Backupper (also free). They can restore some partitions from the backup instead of all. And they can resize partition on restore.... so can restore to smaller disk, or to disk with other partition layout.
