No its fine. There isn't any problem.

The iso you installed is generic......its your COA that matters. What you have done is perfectly OK. We deal with these all the time and have done the same with thousands of people with the same thing. There is no problem :)

Your installation is perfectly legitimate -absolutely no problem.

After 2 weeks since I clean installed Windows, I didn't across anymore bsods when I played Team Fortress 2 with Mumble and Dota 2. So I guess I'll mark this one solved. Sorry for the delay of my outcome. Just wanted to waited out before its 100% bsod free. Once again. Arc and Golden, thank you so much for helping me out on this problem! :)

Got a new GPU, EVGA GTX 970 SuperClocked, BSOD error 116 really new...

Hey, I'm back that I'm encountering another BSOD which is error 116. While I researched it, the cause of it was a driver/graphics issue. The BSOD started after I started playing TF2 for like 20 mins. When this happen, the screen froze with audio loop for a few secs and then black screen, which made me force to hard reset the PC. Now, the GPU wasn't overheating, which it was around the mid 40s with precision from EVGA. Also, the CPU was around the mid 40s underload also. First, I thought it was a conflict between the fresh and the left over old drivers which I did it by uninstalling the driver at control panel and then used driver sweeper to wipeout the leftover ones. Afterwards, I used Furmark 3D for 10mins and it was hover steadly at 60 degrees celcius with precision (including fan curve settings) and no crashes nor artifacts. Now I'm afraid to run games thinking it was a hardware related but it was brand new. Of course it didn't happen playing WoW either..Now I'm beginning to think that sending RMA would be my last resort..but I need your opinions and such.

And btw, I had my GTX 560 and it never had any problems regardless before I installed the 970 in.

I'll check this out. If the uninstall drivers on programs/features with driver sweeper doesn't work, then I'll try this method. Take note that my clock is superclock which it was factory oc'd. I doubt if that's the problem but I get no crashes nor artifacts when using benchmarking programs and world of Warcraft. Something's not quite right...

I know that seems like a silly question, how do I reset the factory OC? I have precision x 16.

Bump! Well, after I did do a clean install and installing the latest drivers and it seems the black screens are gone at least. Although, I encountered another problem, although I encountered some glitches (artifacts) on one game. Since I'll mark this thread solved so I can create a gpu problem in the graphics card board. Not sure if I made the right direction, but if its not then you can merge that new thread to this here. :)

Ugh....Got another BSOD bug. Yup, it comes straight from Bigfoot Killer networks driver. Here's the log:

One thing is that I couldn't seem to download the driver from qualcomm website.

First search for any older version of the driver in their site. If not available, or if no improvement with that one too, understand that the onboard network controller will not be useable and you need to get a new PCIe network adapter for ethernet.

Weird thing is that I downloaded the latest drivers for my Ethernet on Qualcomm site (the one you showed me), I installed it, and I checked the version of the Ethernet on device manager. I looked at the info and it's the old driver version. Instead, that driver belongs to Bigfoot killer manager but not the driver. Why on earth did Qualcomm do this?

As for your suggestion, I'll look into buying a pcie network adaptor. Got any suggestions? Those cards shouldn't be as expensive, right?

Good! I searched for the chip and it didn't show results in newegg. As my understanding, those chips came from the wireless adapters, right? If so, which adaptor that contains the chip?
