"Some installation files are corrupt." Error downloading Bitdefender.

Hello there!

I've been trying to install Bitdefender AV to my computer. Already uninstalled all the previous AV software for this new installation but for whatever reason, it keeps giving me an error;

"Some installation files are corrupt. Please download a fresh copy and retry the installation."

I've tried downloading a couple of times but still getting the same error. Please advise. Thanks!

Ahmm. I was previously using, MSE and SuperAntiSpyware; uninstalled them both successfully. I'm not sure why I'm unable to install Bitdefender because after a series of failed attempts, I've decided to install Malwarebytes instead.

MBAM installed successfully but I'd still want to install Bitdefender, if that is still possible.

:)

Malwarebytes, especially the free version is not an active antivirus so you'll need an AV also. Did you pay for BD and if not why not use something like the free Comodo Internet Security. Use CCleaner to clean all your temp files and other traces. Is the Windows built in firewall still running and/or Defender

How to fix "Bitdefender installation has failed" issue

Yep, Windows defender is still running, so as the built in firewall. So what AV do you suggest, I'd use for now? And, is it still possible for me to install BD now that MBAM is already installed? Thanks!

Disable both Defender and the Firewall. Start/Run, type services.msc and disable them both then try to run the installation again. Do you have the paid MBAM or the free version. I use the free Comodo Security suite as I tried many and found it to be to my liking and I use the free MBAM for weekly scans but it has no services running otherwise. Whatever you do only run 1 security suite at a time either Comodo, BD or other

Installed Comodo Internet Security and everything seems to work perfectly now. Thank you!

Glad to hear it worked and do disable the Windows firewall and defender services and there are many tutorials how to best configure Comodo which so far has never given me any troubles and is very light on resources
