Randomly disconnecting from wireless network on my desktop

So this is kind of an odd issue. My wireless connection (on my desktop only) will randomly disconnect itself from my wireless network, causing me to lose internet for a moment, then reconnect itself automatically. This happens every half an hour or so. It gets incredibly annoying if I'm in something like a skype call, my skype will disconnect and I have to rejoin the call, etc.

The only workaround I've figured out is to disconnect and click the "troubleshoot network issues" button or whatever, which always lets me reconnect instantly, but I disconnect again soon enough.

My router is a linksys AC1900, but I'm pretty sure it's a desktop issue because the internet on my laptop never goes out.

Thanks for any help, and if you need any more details let me know. (computer noob here)

Hi ... Wireless problems can be caused by many things ... In the Link below there are several different Steps which may Resolve your Issue ...

As you do not think the Router is the issue try the other Steps first ..

Have you tried with the Lan Connection is that stable ? ...

Is your wireless connection dropping?

Okay I unchecked the "shut off this device to save power" box on my network adapter in device manager and it seems to have fixed the problem. Thanks!

Going to mark this solved unless something else happens

Okay crap, I'm still having the issue (internet just died for about a minute), but less frequently I guess. I'm reopening the thread in hopes of finding a permanent solution :O

Okay I've tried nearly all of them and still seem to be having the issue. (Power cycled all my stuff, checked if drivers were up to date, checked power settings again)

Are there any other possible fixes? I didn't mess with my router settings because I think it's a PC issue (laptop is fine).
