Solved can I use thunderbolt as mini display port?

I just try to connect the thunderbolt (from my laptop) to a display port (my monitor) and nothing happen.
The cable I use is coming with my monitor, mini display port to display port.

I had google for this, some mac can use their thunderbolt as a mini display port, can win7 do the same thing? or I need to find a thunderbolt adapter? or I need to find an ext. graphic card to have the video output?

yes, and still nothing..
I'm using the hdmi now, I'm just getting tired switching the hdmi cable between my laptop and ps4 so I hope to use the thunderbolt as display port. I expect I have something on the screen just like plugging the hdmi but nothing happen.

And, after plunging the thunderbolt, nothing appear on the driver list.
Did I do something wrong?

I'm terribly sorry about my question
I just noticed I plug to the "DP out" on my monitor
now the monitor works
