My October 22 will be underwhelming, as my two Win7 retail purchases are in the form of downloads. Naturally servers will be crushed that day so in addition to merely receiving bytes instead of a shiny box I also get to enjoy 2400 baud download speeds.

Mine is coming from Newegg so I will have to wait a couple days for shipping but I will not be involved in that downloading nightmare thank goodness. I will have to get that Win7 release gadget.

Im fortunate enough to be one of the party hosts for it. If the tracking email I have is correct I might just get mine today :)

Me too. But I already have it activated from Technet. Now the dilemma is, should I use the new key from the Signature edition or keep on using the Technet key (this is on my personal home (non work) laptop. Probably going to keep using the Technet key. :geek:

My Party Pack is scheduled to arrive Monday. The sad part - it is sitting in a UPS warehouse about 30 minutes from here.

Aside from the OS (the DVD's are cool), the tote bags are surprisingly nice.

I received my party pack on Wednesday and immediately installed the 64 bit version of 7. This is my first time using a 64 bit OS and I am really liking it so far. I thought the DVDs were pretty cool, too, but I thought the tote bags were a little wierd. I will keep one for myself, however.

I got my product key today at the New Efficiency launch party. Came home an activated my Windows 7 64-bit RTM release that I had previously installed, but hadn't activated.

And how was the launch event? Did you go to the IT Professional or Developer piece? Was the food noteworthy? What version of W7 was given away there? I'm only asking because I am attending the one in Cleveland this coming Monday.
