moving windows updates

My SSD drive is nearly full and I am wondering if I can move win updates to my other drive. Ive heard its possible to make a symbolic link from the D drive to the C drive. Will this work

If you right click the C drive on My Computer, you can do a Disc Cleanup.

I don't know why you want to save the updates on another drive?

You can always check the installed updates by clicking Update and selecting Show Installed.

Updates are not like files. They are bits and pieces that go here and there in the system. If you want to update your system, you have to run/install them.

Now let's solve your SSD space problem. Is that a laptop with only 1 disk or a desktop with other disks too. To get a start, run this program, take a snip of the output and post that here.

Never said you didn't have to run them.

When I click Disc Cleanup, it removes the temp files that already run updates created, thereby adding space to my SSD.

I assumed the OP already ran the updates.
