Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

I ran the SFC /SCANNOW command, and says that there were corrupt files and couldn't repair them.

I also ran the System Update Readiness Tool before doing this step.

I've attached the CBS .rar file. Thanks for your help!

I can't add attachments so I put it on One Drive.

Here's the summary from your CheckSUR.log...
Code:
Seconds executed: 4134
 Found 458 errors
CSI Manifest Missing Total count: 349
CSI Payload File Missing Total count: 26
CBS MUM Missing Total count: 82
CBS Catalog Missing Total count: 1

There is considerable corruption there - and I suspect that even if we were to fix it, there would still be more corruption elsewhere.

I think your best option is a repair install of Windows.

Thanks for the advice. Digital River no longer has the isos for the reinstalls. Is there an safe alternative that can be used? I have my product key. Thanks.

Unfortunately, I know of none at present - the MS option is flaky at best, and doesn't work with OEM Keys anyhow :(
Do you know anyone with a legit Windows Home Premium disk (or ISO file)??

Unfortunately no. However, my school allows me to get a free upgrade to Windows 8 which gives me the .iso for that one. Would that help the situation at all or will only a W7 .iso fix the situation?

Any chance your school's IT department has the ISO for Win7 lying around? ;)
Upgrading to Windows 8 may be an option - but it may also break things completely. First check with the compatibility tester to see if you need drivers, or to uninstall interfering programs. http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?linkid=261871

The tester is only showing some minor incompatibilities. I'll look into the .iso for Win7 and see if it's available. Thanks.

I was able to find the .iso and all of my Updates were successful. Thanks so much for the help!
