Almost certainly. Can't recall hearing of anything that can run 7 but not 8.
You might want to wait a few months. Windows 10 will be out this summer and supposedly free for anyone using 7 or 8.

This set of memory was $119 3 days ago, then it went $149, now it`s back to $119.
What is causing this ? No way is it from people just looking at it.

It boils down to the simplest of marketing models--Supply and Demand. When demand is low and stock is high, a product goes on sale. When demand increases, stock goes down and prices go up. Manufacturers pay good money tracking internet queries and so do major retailers. They don't want to get caught with their pants down when an item becomes desirable. It's all about the money.

I would wait on Windows 10. Although, if your computer has a Legacy BIOS, it may not be able to run 10.

Now back to pricing, I understand supply and demand, but newegg`s prices can fluctuate like the weather. Liker I said, it goes up $30 one day, comes down $30, goes back up $20 comes down $10, it`s ridiculus. You buy a pallet of memory you sell it at x amount of dollars til it`s gone, it`s not like it`s a rotten watermelon that you have to get rid of fast.
Why do that put A Samsung 850 EVO 120 GB at $109 for 3 or 4 days then just raise the price to $129 etc ? Just put it at a price and leave it.

I had an Acer Aspire netbook with similar specs to yours that I installed Win 8.1 on. IMO, it ran Win 8.1 better than it ever ran XP or Win 7.
In order to run Win 8.1's full screen apps, it was necessary to make a registry tweak to enable a higher screen resolution. My understanding is that Win 10 doesn't require this tweak but I haven't been able to test that out myself (no longer have that netbook).

All I know is I didn't have any issues running 10tp on legacy bios on a ssd

There is no mention of 10 anywhere
Going from 7 to 8 is simple, people only have issues going from 8 to 7 because of the bios setup.
8 will install to a legacy bios on a MBR drive no problem.
Like I asked the OP, why would you want to install Windows 8 ? It`s terrible :huh:
You will hate it, be sorry, then just want to go back to 7

There's a difference between Windows 8 and 8.1. And you can't upgrade to W10 from 8.0 but you can from 8.1. What I've seen of W10 so far, it's Windows 8.2 with new skins.
