Mike.. I'm not that great at text effects yet and as it is I'm working on a sig for a guy on TF.

This what I have going so far... Any suggestions? I need to work on the border a bit.

The actual border around the image looks okay to me :/
Are you talking about suggestion for the text on this sig ?
Personally I'd use a texture of bump map to give it something besides solid red ?
Kind of like the alien head posted a few pages back = an abstract or something like that

The problem with the border is if you look down at the bottom right corner it's a little wiggled? It's not how it should be.

But yes, I was more or less asking about the text. Thanks for the suggestion.

Well with any shape half round or almost any they will distort
This is because you really should save as path instead of making the shape and filling it,

If using gimp "might see how Keith uses it" window/ single window mode works a lot cleaner looking = orderly for me anyway.

Hi Charlie, IMHO you should use PS CS2, I supplied a link to you earlier. There is no offense in using it. It will not only make the life easier but also the outcome sharper.

There are lots of programs that can do the job, but PS is the only thing at the end of the day. If you put your time and effort in learning PS, it will not be a time and effort lost.

I have been fiddling with that. I'll start to spend more time with that.

My Photoshop experience started with the "free" CS2. It has all the basic facilities that later versions have expanded on.

CS2 is still my program of choice, I do own a CS3 license but I stick with CS2, it's the business. The worrying thing is I haven't been able to get it to install on Windows 10
