It makes life so much easier not having to research each one myself - and she does know an awful lot more about it than me !

I strongly recommend Patch Watch, but alongside this forum which has its own fair share of experts on such matters! I wouldn't be without either site these days, they complement each other very well.

Not having yet installed this week's updates, I switched my main computer on just now and was offered one less update than previously - the standard monthly Malicious Software Removal Tool is absent from the list.

"Curiouser and curiouser," said Jeannie. I just checked and noticed the same thing. This is an example of one reason why I wait until Saturday morning to download and install M$ updates. If there is a problem one (other than ones M$ deliberately foists on us), M$ usually pulls it by then, sometimes even putting a fix up. I have seen a few reports of people having problems after installing the updates but I haven't seen anything that ties it to a specific update. Mayhap that was why M$ pulled that update?

So far so good for me.
I got all the updates this month and they didn't cause any problems.

Taking a gander through the forum most aren't having problems like we have had in the last few months.

That should make Noel happier than a snake in a wheelbarrow.
Update problems takes away from his Pub time.

There are reports aplenty on the MS Community Forum that KB3038314 is failing to install, the problem seems to be restricted to machines with IE11 installed. No solutions as yet.

I was originally offered the MSRT, it's only today that it's not on the list.
