Hi Guy,

Just throwing this one out there.

I am having trouble with my new Tenda 54M Wireless PCI Adapter Model: W54P card it installs the driver right but when i go to enable it, it doesn't work.

It also calls it a Ralink RT61 Turbo Wireless LAN Card if that helps solves the problem.

The Driver is
Driver provider: Ralink Technology Corp.
Driver Date: 2/06/2009
Driver Version: 3.0.1.0

If you need anymore info please post and i will reply asap

thank you all From Gamer1238

One thing that can help with that is finding the Hardware ID. There are two ways about it. One is to go to Start, Right click on Computer, select Manage. Go to Device Manager, expand Network adapter, and double click on the device. Go to the Details tab and select Hardware Ids from the drop down menu. For instance, my Hardware Id is VEN_1814&DEV_0301 and if you google it you find that its a Ralink RT2561/RT61 chipset. I was able to install this device by going to Ralink's website and downloading the PCI/mPCI/CB (RT256x/RT266x). I installed the executable as driver only. I then did a manual install, selected Browse my computer for driver software, Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer, selected Network adapter, then selected Ralink Corp, and finally selected the RT61 v2. This worked for my particular device but it can be different for yours. This is only an example as something you can try.

Happy to know that worked for you. I actually have the linksys wireless G pci card. It just happened to have the RT2561 chipset. Once I got the computer online with the card, I did a windows update and it updated the the linksys branded drivers. Either way, using the chipset drivers can work with most wireless cards.
