KERNAL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR 0x7a while playing certain games, no dumps cr

What program did you use for the RAM test and how long did you run it for?

I ran the windows memory diagnostics test one time, results were good.

Download and run MemTest86+ to test your RAM. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.html

Run MemTest86+ for at least 8 passes. Ideally set it off before you go to bed and leave it overnight, we're looking for zero errors here. A single error will show something's going bad with your RAM.

So the motherboard is 970A-D3.

And the BIOS version is FB.

These two info indicates to rev. 3.0. This one .... GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket AM3+ - GA-970A-D3 (rev. 3.0)

It has UEFI. If you dont start the bootable MEDIA as UEFI, it will not be able to create partitions to install windows.

I ran it overnight, about 8 hours, it started going slow after a bit and only got through 3 passes, the first one took only 25 minutes.

Alright, I guess I'll try it again later. I'm going to try installing Windows 7 to my new hard drive first and see if that fixes it.

Say it was a problem with the hard drive my OS is currently on, would installing Windows 7 onto my SSD, then hooking the old hard drive up again to use as secondary storage work?

Also, would installing windows onto an SSD be faster than on a HDD?

Windows on an SSD would be miles faster than on an HDD. You should be able to hook up the HDD as storage but you'd need to format it after retrieving all of your files.

Thanks for the fast reply, I'll try installing Windows 7 onto my SSD tonight, that would also require the using UEFI, correct?

No luck. Tried installing it on my SSD, got some applications installed then I started freezing up and having to restart my computer. I think it's either Ram or motherboard problem.

We cannot test the motherboard, but if you follow the post #41 by Boozad, it will let us know about the RAM and the DIMM slots.
