Windows 7 pro with asus MB, integrated graphics and audio, 16gb ram. Added an Asus DG audio card as well as an asus GT-610 graphics card and doubled the ram to 32gb. My performance base score went down from 5.9 to 4.9 --what's at work here?? If more data is needed to formulate an answer please ask.
Without spec's no one can say for sure. However, doubling RAM will not increase the score and if the RAM is slower that can affect score. The sound card has no affect on the score. The Video card should have a higher score than integrated.

A sound card will make no difference to the WEI, and depending what onboard graphics you have the 610 may even be worse. Most of this is guesswork though as we have no idea what system specs you have.

I have updated my system specs. It really doesn't matter what the performance number is I suppose as I don't do any gaming. I just do my genealogy and photoshop lightroom. I just wondered why the number would go down instead of at least staying the same.
Hi,
If you want to do the most good install a ssd
Ram will only do so much with what you have as far as other hardware and startup items
GT 610 is a very small card and at photoshop's bare minimum requirements,
I had cc6 or now cc 2014 running on a GT 640 which a 1gb card = a bare minimum for cc 2014 for 3D rendering features and that was with 8gb of crucial ram
Use your 500gb for personal files and a new ssd for os and programs.
