Hi,
I bought a PC a couple of weeks ago and installed win 7 on it.

ever since i'm getting BSOD, it happened a few times over night when i wasn't near it but it also happens

while i work on it, i try to run CHKDSK and everything seems fine,

i went back to the store so they will check it and they called to say that it seems like it's not a hardware issue because everything is working fine.

What should i do? i really need the PC urgent, i'm working on it and can't afford to get BSOD every day or 2.

Thanks,
Kobi

Be patient. You have to do a lot do go to the root of the issue.

First of all, provide some information. At this point we have no info from you other than it is a kernel_data_inpage_error, that is a stop 0x7A BSOD.

Now, make a reply to my post following the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions . If you cannot to it, let us see a camera snap of the full BSOD screen at least.

Then and only then we can start with the troubleshooting process.

Thanks for your reply,

I did the instructions on the link, attached the zip file and a screenshot of the BSOD.

Thanks,

There is no crash dump in the uploaded zip, but the screenshot gives us some info.

The second argument on the screen, which is the error status, is 0xC00000C0. It means STATUS_DEVICE_DOES_NOT_EXIST; This device does not exist. And, the target device is a storage device.

Make it sure that the SSD is running with the latest firmware. Corsair does it via their forum: SSD Firmware Update - The Corsair User Forums

How to Upgrade Corsair SSD Firmware | StorageReview.com - Storage Reviews

Also check the cabling ... for both the SSD and the HDD. If possible try new SATA cables.

Let us know the results.

i downloaded the upgrade tool and got an alert(see attached) that the firmware upgrade will format my drive,

does it mean i need to install windows and all software all over again? or it's written for case of something going wrong?

The pc is new, how can it be that the firmware is old?

Ok without the dump file (that I can find) I can only suggest the simpler stuff and seeing kobiab's is a ?? used?? buy I think checking the hardware out first up is my preferred way of dealing with this problem.

So to start from square one kobiab mate do this

Using HW Info
PART A:
You can test the volts on the PSU with HW Info HWiNFO, HWiNFO32/64 - Download < download the right bit version and close the right handwindow select Sensors and scroll down to the power section where you will seewhat the volts are doing see my pic. Now the section you want will be labeled -for example Asus boards usually have "Nuvoton" and Gigabyte boards"ITE" in any case the section you want will have Vbatt or VBAT in it(dead give away)
The original right hand window shows the machine running and is handy for that butfor looking at the components in some detail close it and use the main lefthand side panel
FOR OTHER COMPONENTS
PART B:
Open each small square with + in it on the section the components are in andthen click on the individual component/s (it will highlight in blue) - in theright hand side will appear all sorts of details including brands speeds andother essential info that particular device. See pic for example.

Use PART A: and I would like to see the temps too - use this tool https://www.piriform.com/speccy/download and post back your findings. If you have any problems understanding the HW Info run - ask.

PS Meant to ask some specs please http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/180324-system-info-see-your-system-specs.html as it is very hard to work with something you know nothing about ie what is inside the machine
