+1 And yes.. i have a 64-bit OS, i dont like your theme so much sergio, only because i dont want my desktop/theme to be all dark, i like the light ones/blue~-ish ones But if i liked black ones, i would like your theme... ^^

Yep very nice theme, I have been using SiCo a lot and getting a bit bored with it to tell you the truth, what I really like is the slight gradient at the top when viewing folders in explorer.

Okay, so I've been playing around, after adding both of those, with the icons trying to make it look like the screen shot. Can't for the life of me figure out how to get it going heh. Is it a matter of just replacing all the .exe's with the included icons? Can't figure out how to change the Windows explorer icon or the control panel either. Anyone know where to find info on this?


Edit: Gah, I'm dumb. They're shortcuts... I can just change icons on them. Going to give it a go. I'm not sure, because they're shortcuts, they'd actually appear on the taskbar correctly.

Edit: Not much luck. They only stay in that format when pinned and revert when unpinned it seems.

When you put the files required into the C:\Windows\Resources\Themes directory, it adds a 'themepack like' file to the Personalization themepack selection (somewhere in there).

You can switch between the custom theme and the original theme by clicking a different themepack in there, in order to remove it you only need to delete the files you added to begin with.

When adding the files, you should restart before applying the new theme.
When deleting the files, you should revert to a different theme, restart, then delete.

Don't forget to patch your theme files (forgot the names).

When the system files are changed, backups are created to them in the same folder with something like .backup at the end of the file name.

i.e. uxtheme.dll.backup

You have to be smooth with the command prompt because you have to use task manager to end explorer.exe to delete the files in use (i.e. uxtheme.dll)
and rename the backup to exclude .backup.

But you don't have to do that at all if you simply want to choose a theme that was installed with Windows. a.k.a Aero, Architecture, etc...

You can choose between any and all installed with the patched files running.

Edit: Actually, after typing that all out, I see Sergio's link includes the patcher app that can restore the files for you. Anyhow, I included good info.

What problem were you facing ? Did the 1.7 works now ?

Most common problems have been solved by installing the right patch I give on the description, or install/update your graphic card drivers.

Else, explain me what you did when you installed it and what do you see after double-click the soft7.theme.

I saw on your screenshot that you're using "Soft7 on top" because of the look of the desktop-shortcut on the superbar.

Try to use "soft7" only and I think you'll like it better (the 2 version are inside the rar file.
