Any way to physically label Micro SD cards?

I've taken to using Micro SD for main file backup because it's much easier than burning constant DVDs when only a few new files need to be saved. The downside to this is that these cards seem to fit into their slots so tight that there's no room to put a sticker on top of the card and I'd wager a lot of paints would even be too thick for a number. This is a bit of an issue when I mostly have multiples of one brand of card(Walmart's perpetual sale on 32GB Samsung EVOs means they're the best choice for me right now- can pick up locally, no worry over the card being fake, dirt cheap). Is there any material out there that could be thin enough for even a simple number label on the cards?

Why not "label" the card with an Ultra Fine Sharpie?

That might actually work.... provided the ink will properly dry on the Samsung's printed surface, anyway. I'll have to test. I'll be useless on black cards though.

I wonder if waterslide decals are thin enough?

The backside of a printed card is usually blank. you might be able to find a Sharpie in a color other than black. Plan B might be to scratch an identifying letter or number on the surface.

A tipp-ex mouse to make a thin white label and then a black sharpie.

Edit - I've just just tried it and it's too hard to get the tipp-ex on.

The problem with a sharpie, or any marker, is that the ink isn't really going to show up on a black surface too well.

Never saw those before.... I'd wager that's not standard ink, more like a thin paint.

I usually use masking tape and a ball point pen

Use an engraving pen or get it laser engraved
