Now I know this is not android country but have searched the web for a memo or notepad app for my Samsung Galaxy S5 phone and Galaxy S tab. But Ii cannot find any that do not use the cloud I just want to keep my scribbling's ie phones numbers activation codes strictly within the device.
Now I have already come up with a pic of me on my old bike that was sync'd to the pad (I am assuming from my laptop pictures because that is the only place it would have been) when I installed a Quizup app that I play general knowledge stuff on.
So knowing this I don't know what is being shared via the phone or tablet.
Anyone with a little knowledge of these devices could you please put me out of my misery because Google seems to own just about everything :sarc:

Yes it does pillain mate but it seems like it is shareable with just about any other device and I am absolutely against anything that uses the cloud or plain networking I want a memo pad like my S5 phone has that I can type it in and not worry about it - that I know of:huh:

Thanks Colin but after the stuff we have been hearing about 10 and doing things in the cloud - which I don't really understand or need for that matter I am just tad paranoid with that sort of stuff. I have a straight little app on the S5 phone that is just a type in notebook looking page and just wished the tablet had the same. I have got one now but not as good as the phone one.
The phone had to be sent back last week because of a high battery drain on idle and yep the memos were wiped and although I saved every mortal thing on the phone to the laptop finding that memo is proving to be impossible. Annoying cos the local Telstra people are just the retailers and not that savvy it seems and it has left me high and dry for my passwords and appointments

John all I can say is you should stop acting on hearsay and scaremongering from intelluctually challenged sources. Do your own research, test your conclusions, and make your own decisions.

Yep I suppose you are right mate just I was shocked when I saw quotes from the EULA on that Leo Notenboom's newsletter discussion/ debate a while ago and some of it was pretty damning.
But I am sort of coming round to think well if I worry about that too much then I had better start worrying about doing anything on the net anyway eh? As you know probably better than me there are many ways of getting at ones info / data by hacking or by whatever method.
So yes I shall follow your advice although I still think Microsoft are being a tad heavy handed if they are peeking at ones data, and I thought it a little sneaky by offering an update that to all intents and purposes looked like any other (KB3035533).
Still I have a nice fresh install now and have avoided that one and have spent putting back all my programs including your top tutorial on the BSOD stuff so I shall be with 7 until it gets no more support and then maybe try Linux as the other little irritant is that 10 isn't so simple to navigate as 7.
I just feel sorry for the admin and others who have put in a lot of work into the 10 forum it must be pretty disheartening to hear so much criticism.
Still have taken up enough of your time and it is nearly time to go to work
