Quick question that someone might know the answer to....
Tryin to make my HTPC as power efficient as possible... heres the setup
DISK1
- HD
--- (Movie Titles)
-------(Movie.mkv)
- TV
DISK2
- HD
--- (Movie Titles)
-------(Movie.mkv)
- XVID
ETC...... up to 7 disks
Library mode just has a folder called Movies and all the HD folders under it so everything appears like its on one partition, in one folder.
Movies (Library)
----DISK1 HD FOLDER
----DISK2 HD FOLDER
----DISK3 HD FOLDER
Now everytime i access that movies library... all the hard drives spin up.
Is there any way to cache the contents so it only spins up the drive when the actual movie title is picked on a certain drive, and only spins up that drive to play the movie?
So if Transformers was on disk 3 all i want to spin up is disk3 but i still want to be able to see whats on all 7 drives.
I hope i was clear on what is going on and what i want to happen.
