Wellies are almost always high top (but below the top) pull on boots. Galoshes could be high or low top boots always worn over ones shoes or even ankle high slip on/snap on shoe covers (the latter and low top boots being the ones I remember)

Seriously? It's something you should experience even if only to people watch. I rarely go to Walmart myself since it is such a zoo, especially the parking lot, and they are constantly running out of stuff, replacing products with cheaper ones, and changing the store layout. I mostly just get my prescriptions there (since every town large enough to have a traffic light has a Walmart, I can more easily get prescriptions refilled while on the road)
