Hello
Recently I've received a few Blue screens to the point Im worried to even use it. From what I can gather it seems to be related to the CPU some how. The most recent one was immediately after I logged in, the blue screen popped but I couldn't even see it. The screen was just jagged lines and such. So i'm currently in safe mode

I would also like to note when using the "dm log collector" after it says to press any button to continue the SFDebug folder pops up but only for a second and then disappears. What I did was copy everything in the folder before it disappeared. Hopefully this wasn't a big problem doing so. I'm also running in safe mode so I don't know if that is contributing to the weird sfdebug issue or even possibly the results for the dm log collector

Anyway thank you in advance for any help. I really appreciate the work that is done here.

So Safe Mode is working. Which gives a hint that it is a driver caused issue.

Well, it is a laptop, an old laptop actually. The BIOS is old, the chipset drivers (nvidia chipset, which are obsolete and unavailable nowadays) are also old. It is very doubtful that you will get updates for those drivers. Still go to HP, search for possible updates. Or you may search in google for "RX882AA-ABA m8013w" which will list some hird party sources, I am unaware for their reliability.

On the other hand, the bugcheck code represents to a hardware issue.
Code:
A fatal hardware error has occurred.
It may me due to any hardware failure, or heat problem which is possible for such an old laptop, or the old BIOS. If it is a hardware issue, it wil be real hard to troubleshoot, taking the age of the laptop in consideration.

My best suggestion for you will be .... let windows suggest you the drivers. Follow it: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/2803-device-installation-settings.html
It will be a bit better if you perform a clean install and get the drivers straight via windows update.

If still the issue persists, check in HP for any BIOS update.

Thank you for the response. There's is just one little mistake though, this is not a laptop that I'm using.

Unfortunately like you've mentioned there are no updates for the drivers.

I do like to note too, before I posted here, I had a post on the windows forums. But unfortunately a week past with no response which led me to post here, any way I finally did get a response which had me run Prime95 stress test. I was able to this test normally without running it in safe mode.. No crashes etc.. After 8+ hours (manually stopped it) 0 errors or warnings were found oddly enough. Perhaps I ended it too soon? Meanwhile later when a video plays through the internet with Low resolution on a page. It doesn't take too long to immediately shut down, producing the same error as before.

I do wonder about the overheating that you've mentioned. I have had small issues of overheating on this computer in the past. Nothing too big issue then but that was also some years ago (different users, os etc..) when that occurred. And at that time, the fans were a big give away as they became noisy once it was about to happen. Not really the same right now

Well, actually I got the info that if the system name is 103C_53316J and the system SKU is RX882AA#ABA, then the product model is HP p6710f. I dont have am idea about it, and a google search resulted to a laptop. So I said it. :o
Now, having a revisit to your data, it seems that this is your PC: HP Pavilion Media Center TV m8013w Desktop PC | HP® Customer Support
Is it?
If so, then there is no possible updates with HP, infact.

Still, report us the heat of the computer after a couple of hours of your normal usage. Upload a screenshot of the summery tab of Speccy. Alternatively, you can publish a Speccy snapshot too: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/311593-speccy-publish-snapshot-your-system-specs.html .

And Check if the Power Supply Unit (PSU) supplying adequate power to the computer or not.
Also let us know about the wattage of the installed PSU.

Yep! that is my PC

Speccy:
http://speccy.piriform.com/results/PQ1ws2r2BJgJNxOwY3ZPZpo

This might Not even be useful info at all, but just in case
CPU had 38-42c when idling and light stuff
45-49c when opening a program up
45-49 also when opening up light webpages when loading finishes goes down around 42-43 some pages 39-41
50-55 on certain heavier webpages like the ones i've mentioned before with light video ads, when done loading most of the goes down to around 46-47 occasionally pops up to 52 and more at times
When one of those video ads that stretch out across the screen and automatically start playing it stayed at 56c until I got rid of it.

The extreme Power Supply Calculator: results are likely not accurate as I could not find the appropriate video card listed in there
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ EE 2400 MHz AM2 Brisbane - XOV PSU Calculator
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ EE 2400 MHz AM2 Brisbane NVIDIA GeForce 4 MX Series - XOV PSU Calculator
The card is an Integrated NVIDIA GeForce 6150 shared video memory (UMA) VGA

Currently using a 300w Power supply

It is not overheating, apparently.

300 watts is too poor for a power supply. You should get a higher one.

And, Stress test the CPU.See how it goes. Let us know.

EDIT: One more question. When you did a clean install for the last time? How you installed the drivers there?

Sorry.
For your second question you asked about how I installed the drivers. Or at least that what I gathered from your question. I'm not too sure but I went and follow your suggestion, or at least I thought I did and chose the automatic route. Although re-reading your post I wonder if you actually wanted me to choose the "No let me choose" then the "Always install" option

I am elaborating my question. When you performed a clean reinstall of windows on the computer for the last time? And when you did that, you have installed the drivers too. What was the source of the drivers? Did you use a driver CD? Or did you download the drivers from vendor's website? Or did you let windows update to get the drivers?

Your proper and specific answer will be important. Because all the chipset drivers are too old. If we can get a way to rectify it, that might be good there.

When I did that was when you asked me to on the post, earlier this week. And I went with your suggestion by letting windows do it. Followed the instructions with the link you provided and selected the recommended, automatic.

So you performed a clean reinstall only in the current week?
Have you noticed any further BSOD after that?

Yes I have since then, a couple actually.

I don't know if this would be useful information but yesterday instead of going to safe mode. I went and chose the option before boot to temporally set to low resolution to 640 X 480 when it boots up. It not easy to work with but at least I can do more task than when I could with safe mode. The key thing with this information so far is, I have yet to get a blue screen when I choose the Enable Low Resolution startup

EDIT: Never mind, it just took much more work to do so. Which makes me wonder if it is still possible while in Safe Mode since Im usually cautious while im in that mode

It's been two weeks since a last post on here. Does that mean there isn't really anything I can do about this problem?
