Can i say this feature for me can not only be game breaking but just obliterate any chance i have of normal computer time? I mean jeez man i cant take it anymore. I hate laptop tap-to-click. I want to disable it but i keep finding tutorials that are relevant for windows 8 +.

If you are talking about the Lenovo link, here's an alternate for the same version mentioned,

Synaptics Pointing Device Driver for Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit) - IdeaPad Y550, Y650 - Lenovo Support (US)

Reading farther down, it doesn't look like that completely solved the problem.

The last post there has a different suggestion using this ultranav driver,

Synaptics UltraNav driver for Windows 8.1 (32-bit, 64-bit), 8 (32-bit, 64-bit), 7 (32-bit, 64-bit), Vista (32-bit, 64-bit), XP - ThinkPad - Lenovo Support (US)

Options for you.

More Touchpad problems

I'm pretty sure alot of you saw my previous thread on how my mouse was tap-happy.
Well i was finally able to shut it down with the Synapatics mouse driver which apparently
i'm supposed to have anyways,However now there is a new problem. yay.

When I am holding a key on the keyboard, my touchpad does not work, I can't click either.
I want them to work at the same time,Many games i play require both functions to work
in order for me to play properly.Other then that i'm as useful as a sack of potatoes.
Is there any way to fix this issue?

There are countless hits on Google about that problem, I have no idea if this will work but it's an easy try,
