Best Overclock For nvidia gtx 650ti BOOST?

Hi all,

Just am trying to find a good overclock setup using MSI Afterburner.

Like what:

core clock
core voltage
memory clock
fan speed

do you recommend?


I understand I am fully responsible for if any damage is done by the way to make things clear.

Or.. if I should not overclock this.. How about me overclocking a spare gtx 460? I can do that as a last resort.

Kinda stuck on what card to do and what the overclocking should be. Thank you all in advance.

Yeah, I was just joking, I probably will upgrade to windows 7 because XP isn't as exciting as I thought it would be. I was just testing XP. I was wondering if anyone would comment on me having XP, haha.

Well I upgraded to windows 7 and I wanted to ask a questions concerning a new GPU.

Instead of making another thread about it I rather just ask here. I still have to look into my overclocking the gtx 650ti, still have some things to install first.

But the question is that will my 600 watt corsair psu handle this card well? Some people say yes, some say no. I'm lost.

I figure that this card would be a little better than a gtx 970 and worth the extra cash. Bad part is it'll be a while to save up for it but thats ok.

Probably not the CX series is not a very good series to have = bronze
Not a Radeon fan but seeing you have an Intel cpu I would stick with Nvidia products personally
If you had an AMD cpu it might be a tad different
I'd just look into a msi 970 series as a better option

The R9 390X is better than the GTX 970 at some things.

The GTX 970 is better than the R9 390X at some things.

It's almost a dead heat. The only advantage to the R9 390X is that you have a wider memory bus and more GPU RAM, and only slightly better performance, but you pay for that with extra cost, and higher power consumption.

I'm a hardcore Radeon user, but I think you would get more bang for your buck with the Nvidia card.

If you do get the Radeon card, I wouldn't install it with less than a 750 Watt power supply. But that's just me.

Yep if you don't plan on replacing the psu the 970 would be better and would perform nicely as well

Ok all, thank you and will do.

Now I have another problem with my tower..

So I installed Windows 7 as before and I installed an older gtx 460 to test that out some stuff. Unfortunately now when I go into a game with everything working, my cpu usage is always at 100% and I drop frames drastically. When I'm not in game my cpu is used about 70%. I checked my background programs and it's all normal. The only problem I could think of was I stopped Windows update while it was installing updates, however I restarted to computer to refresh the usage so there's no leftovers running. I tried enabling and disabling Intel speedstep technology and no luck.

I'm lost..

I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I have the luck where every time I touch a computer, it breaks or I have problems with it.

You should post this new problem in the General section or Hardware and Devices. A new issue should have its own thread.

Not as many people visit this part of the forums as they do the regular sections. Since more people will see it if you post elsewhere, you're more likely to get more help.
