(Security Update for MW) KB3149090 - Fine
(Security Update for MW) KB3145739 - Fine
(Security Update for MW) KB3142042 - Fine

However, one of the Updates For Windows updates will re-activate that @#$#ing Windows 10 system icon and when you go into Windows Update you'll get the Windows 10 window that says "Get Started" or whatever the hell it says.

I fixed the issue, but it required getting rid of the standard update for windows updates because eeny... meeny.. miny.. moe.. would have just been too time consuming.

I think it may be KB3035583 that did it but I'm not 100%.

I manually altered the registry key by adding..

"DisableGwx"=dword:00000001"

But are you confirming the update I said is the culprit is the actual update that is? Even if it is, I don't think I want to install the other updates anyways. Most recommended Windows updates tweak/fix things I have disabled under services so they're pointless.

I have set check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them.

I had KB3146706 not selected in the important list.
Installed the remaining selected 8 yesterday and everything seem to be fine.

Now I still have a reminder that I have new updates available, this file is the only showing up and it still unchecked.

Now I'm wondering the reason of this not selected file; should I not install this?

Now I'm wondering the reason of this not selected file; should I not install this?

Microsoft choose to uncheck it...all users have it listed that way.

There is any number of possible reasons, however DO NOT install it.

Some of those reasons could be that
it is causing issues with the OS and that was reported back to MS by some initial users that installed it.

There are reports of that one causing BSODs, so I'd avoid it at least while it remains unchecked which may indicate that it's going to be replaced or removed.
