You need to elaborate on this please. What are you doing when this occurs? You mention IE and yahoo. Is the browser based?

Can you post a screenshot to give us better idea. It sounds web based. It's late here so off to bed. Check back in the morning.

A couple of things:

1. No legitimate website should ever ask for your Windows password. Either that site has been hacked, or it's shady, or you are the victim of malware.

2. You should should never post your email address in an open forum, whether in a post or in a picture. If I were you, I would edit your post and take down the picture. The load the picture from your hard disk with something like Windows Paint and scrub out your login address and your email address. Once the picture has that information cleaned off then re upload it into your post so others can see it.

Some questions:

1. What are you using for anti-virus/anti-malware?

2. Have you scanned your computer for viruses lately?

3. Have you tried using another browser like Chrome of Firefox? Does it still ask for the Windows password if you do?

4. Is this just a new thing? How long has this been happening?

There are 4 steps of removing malwares-hackwares.
1.go to uninstall a program from control panel and uninstall the programs you dont recognise.(for any help in this matter you may post a screenshot of uninstall a program screen)
2. Check for malware addon/extension and remove it from all browsers.
3.download and run adwcleaner from toolslib.net
WARNING:AFTER RUNNING THIS YOU WILL BE LOGGED OUT FROM EVERY EMAIL OR SOCIAL NETWORKING SITE.
after cleaning is done reboot.
4. Download and run hitman pro to finally check and remove malwares from re-ocurring.

Before doing what I said in previous post try adding some adblocking software in your browser-
For firefox try adding addon ** ***** **** from firefox store
For Chrome add extension ****** from chrome store
IE does not have a good working adblocking software now.
After installing try visiting the site again and see if the strip appears.

Hi Len,
from your last post
>>> from day 1 <<<

Sounds to me that 1 of the progs you downloaded immediately after install was from a "dodgy" link, ie malware included.
As your using avast, select the pre boot scan option, might flag something
HOWEVER
My advice perform a clean install, as its a custom install you should have the discs.

If you have another comp change ALL your passwords from it.
