All of my old reset switches and power switches cadged from junk and older
builds cannot be bad. They are mechanical.
I'm upgrading an old Biostar motherboard. Finally got some power to it via the
shorting method and even attached an LED at the power pins. All this worked ok.
But attaching what I have for a power switch ("power switch" marked on the plug
in the usual way, ) it does not keep the motherboard shut down waiting for pressing
the switch. I tried it both ways just in case -- this is a really old board. Everything stays on.
I can live with shutting power down from the PSU. Any suggestions?
And yes I have done a search on it and that is like a needle in a haystack as
usual.
Perhaps a switch suggestion itself? Though I have plenty of the reset and LED harnesses.
No operating system or anything else on this yet. Just board testing.
