Hello everyone!

I am a neophyte and I'm not exactly a computer guru.
I have a problem, when I start windows 7 OS after some time
appears a blue screen that it avoid me access and a restart takes place.
A snapshot of the blue screen is in attachement
I'm able to access in safe mode (in safe mode the pc lost time , in the boot, when load classPNP.sys. Is it normal? )

I have a dual OS and when I load Ubuntu 14.04 I haven't any problem
There is some kind soul who could help me?
I do not know what to do
Thanks in advance
Have a nice Sunday!

Thanks for the welcome Jack. I am responding on behalf of my girlfriend who wrote the original message (She is working and asked me to take care of the problem).
I followed the guide you've shown me, in Safe Mode (because you can not access normally). The file is in attachment.
I hope that we can detect and solve the problem.

Your answer was much appreciated
Nick

Now we just have to wait for one of the BSOD Team members to drop by.
They are always very busy so hang in there.

I'm not a BSOD Team member but I do try and get some information so they don't have to.
Hopefully it will save them some time.

It would be helpful if you could give as much information of the computer as you can.
Running this free program will help you.
How well it works in safe mode is unknown to me; never tried.

No problem. I'll wait
Following your instructions, in attachement I put the output of the speccy program executed in safe mode (the report on the graphics card there isn't because you are in safe mode).

Good evening

Another thing that I think may be relevant is this:
when I normally try to access windows 7 the blue sceen (described above) appears, but 2 times appeared instead the image with artifacts in attachment.

Moreover, when pressing the start button it appears another artifacted image:
the symbol | replicated on rows and columns (on all the page) like this:

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | |

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | |

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | |

Please run the DM Log Collector again and upload a new zip, the current uploaded one misses several logs.
You could check if there are
  1. 18 .txt,
  2. 1 .nfo,
  3. 1 or more .dmp,
files present, if this is the case then all logs are present :)
If there are a few missing, no problem as we can get them manually if required :)

In fact, even before the problem the boot of Windows 7 was very slow. But since there is the problem even more.
I think incredible that with the same pc Ubuntu show no problems.

Check if Sony has BIOS & display drivers available.

Looking at the age of this installation, has any part been replaced?

20 September 2010 for display driver (there is number 8.723.8.2000)
21 June 2006 for Driver Bios Microsoft Bios Manage (6.1.7601.17514)

Update drivers tells me that the latest version is already present

No changes to drivers (neither to hardware, is a laptop) have never been made that it was not automatic (automatic updates)

That it's a laptop doesn't mean no hardware changes can be made ;)

I'm a little confused, is that date the latest BIOS according to Sony? Your logs say otherwise

Control Panel->Device management->Driver Bios Microsoft Bios Manage
Click on Update tells me: you already have latest bios version available
I have never made any manual updates.

Do you have any idea what the problem might be?

As mentioned, check Sony for BIOS updates.
Don't check in device manager, device manager can't update the BIOS.

That may make troubleshooting a little more difficult.

Try following
- Uninstall the display driver from the device manager
- Reboot your system
- See if the problem occurs

When uninstalling a device from device manager, Windows will reinstall the drivers when rebooting.
