My PC could not boot into Win7 or 10

I have a HP Z600 with a GTX 750TI and everything was fine when I switched over to the GTX 1070 Oc until I restart or shut down. I would get passed the post but after loading Windows 7 or 10 the motherboard would beep about 60 fast then load up to the login screen but after loging in I would have a (error 42) on the GTX 1070 OC. I put my GTX 750TI and everything is fine.

I have had it working with no problems. I may need to get a USB drive so I van install this BIOS update. I even tied to power the card externally and was working for a bit but I have all the right power cord connectors now.

Thank you for the first reply. I have checked this list before and it's a good place to start. Unfortunately I'm not getting a beep on post but more like getting beeps on login screen. I can login fine but still have the error 42. I managed to update BIOS to v3.61 from v3.60 with no noticeable change. I'm more than sure it's the PSU.I still have to see if I van find one to try out on the GPU.

I think your GPU (the GTX 1070 Oc) is the issue. I think you need to stick with the other GPU (GTX 750TI), since you have no problems when that card is installed in the computer.

I know what you mean but when crazy things like this happen really make me wonder Gtx 1070 oc in my HP Z600 BMW custom workstation case. - YouTube
