I was looking to one-clik tag ALL friends in a post and cannot find a button for this anywhere on facebook. So, I did a web search and discovered a batch file that works, but only will grab approx. 75% of all friends. I am not sure if I am running it correctly or it is just not coded well. If it is good can someone post the proper step-by-steps? The file is attached for those of you who are competent in this arena to inspect, test, fix, enhance, etc. or just comment on.

-thx

I don't know batch file code or what ever it's called, but I can recommend Autohotkey which is far more powerful.

Edit-

From what I just read, Facebook may not allow this.

Did you bother to look up Autohotkey as I stated it? AutoHotkey

The batch file you shared does exactly what Autohotkey does, though Autohotkey may be what you need if the batch file is not what you need.

There are programs that will create scripts for Autohotkey for you, but I could never get them to work right.

You probably shouldn't do this as I stated Facebook may not allow it.

... if the batch file is not what you need. ...
As indicated in the op, the attached code does work.

... I don't know batch file code or what ever it's called, but I can recommend Autohotkey which is far more powerful. ...
if you don't know batch file code how do you know Autohotkey is more powerful? Since you cannot specifically help as per the op I would suggest you not waste your valuable time with my trivial issue any longer - and thank you for commenting (as per the op).

Well it certainly is not a trivial question, given the length of the batch file.

It looks like you are "throwing keypresses at a cmd window", if you will pardon my expression. I don't see how this can work. Sendkeys is a method. You need to have created a shell object first, before you can apply the SendKey method.

There are two SendKey methods. One is a vbscript, while the other is a wshshell member. Both only work in the active window, so you need to create the shell object first.

Hope that helps.

thank you iko22 - understand that I am just a driver. I am no mechanic. As stated, the batch file does work, but for some reason it stops short of 100%. However, because I am not a mechanic I will not understand any advice/suggestions that detail the 'mechanics' needed to resolve.

The current Facebook methodology to 'tag' all of one's friends on a post is one at time. Frankly I am surprised that Facebook does not have a 'tag all' button, given that I am aware of individuals that have literally 'hundreds' of friends. Fortunately, I have less than 20, so, not that big an issue for me. As stated in the op, I found this script after a web search and finding this script on several Youtubes authored by people that seem to originate from India. Just throwing this out there.
