Driver Avermedia M115/M104 Acer Aspire 9810

Today I've installed windows 7 x86 on my Acer Aspire 9810. Unfortunately i can't find the driver for the Avermedia M115/M104 TV Tuner.

Does someone have the same problem and found a driver that works?

Have you tried the driver that, came with the tuner, in compatibility mode?

When I installed my Windows 7 windows update found me a driver for my usb tv tuner. Think it took a day or so but you might have a look at your optional updates.

Yes that's right. With the other drivers I had no trouble at all. The Avermedia Tuner works too. The Threads above shows how to get it work.

Is that the only driver you had trouble. I will be installing Windows 7 soon.

All installs are unique but if you have the same make and model number as powerbit does then you have an excellent chance for a trouble free install. Good luck to you.

yes i have the same problem. tried a clean install. it refuses to use the back up i made with windows vista. maybe fortunately this was a new hard drive that i just installed a couple of weeks ago. I will reformat the new drive again, reinstall windows 7 after using the transfer tool from windows 7 on the old drive. putting the fresh new hard drive. so much for a smooth install.

it is a vista driver so you will need to download to a folder then right click on the file and select properties to change compatibility as per this tutorial..

I would think that getting a driver for your TV tuner would be the answer however I am not sure. But what you could do is use this tutorial to find out what you want to know. I am supposing that you are seeing a yellow mark in your device manager on 'Multimedia Controller' if so then you can use this tutorial to find the name of the device. Good luck to you and let us know if this resolves for you.

Ok, I am still having trouble with the AverMedia drivers. I followed that tutorial and I right clicked the setup.exe and placed it in compatibility mode for Vista. I ran the .exe, I saw the Avermedia logo and something happened...then it went off the screen!?! I am not sure it worked.

Any ideas?!? Could this be related to the Multimedia issue? (Yellow icon). I found out that the multimedia controller is for a Phillips TV7131 WDM video capture(?????)

How to find the right driver for your Aspire 9810 tuner.

Go back to the page that you have pasted above. Do you see right to the right where it says Language. Click on all. Glory be there are 3 or 4 more drivers for the turner. The one listed on the first page (latest), well guess what? It is not the latest driver. If you click on all you will see what I am typing about. And you are welcome. If you are using driver detective, it gives you the wrong driver and that one doesn't work either. So do as I suggest and you will be a happy camper.:sarc:

Hi, I'm Italian and sorry if I go "off topic" and for my bad english.
I gave the laptop in question but had no hard disk so I had to post one myself. So of course I don't have the recovery partition and the backup disks. I have to install Vista using the reported serial under the laptop but I can't use the InstantOn arcade because in "network" is not found anywhere, even on the acer site.
Could someone up this program (or the hidden pqservice partition) on a filehosting or other?
