Afternoon all,

getting this error when trying to install a program

The full message is

"Component MSFLXGRD.ocx or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid"


Not sure how to start with this one?

Do a System File Check.
Open a CMD window as Admin and type
sfc /scannow

I had a couple of issues following as some of the flow thourhg pages don't exist anymore

so what worked for me
was copyng the file from the program to syswow64 then running regserver32 on it....
What that also lead to was a whole new error....i suspect then that the issue is either with my pc not having a flexgrid program installed (home premium?) or that the software i downloaded is just not compatible.....probably the former

the next error is the same except with file name mscomct2.ocx

what im suspecting is that my win is 64bit and the program is for 32 bit....hence those files are in the wrong place - is there an easy way to move them to the correct place or get them to register correctly?

Did you run System File Check? (sfc /scannow)
System File Check (sfc) checks for corrupted system files and replace those it finds corrupted with a backup.

A 64 bit OS runs 32 bits programs without issues.
In Windows, there are two Program Files folders.
C:\Program Files is for 64Bits programs
C:\Program Files (x86) is for 32Bits programs

This is a brand new install on a new hard drive.
That being said ive run sfc scannow. no issues found.
