Do we really need a DVD Drive any longer?

Yep we still need DVD drives for a million reasons, now floppy drives on the other hand we don't need those anymore. Never used them, never liked them. I put a fan where my floppy use to be.:)

:cry:I still need a floppy (for my laptop no less)

My BIOS revisions require a 32-bit OS to install...and I refuse to install one. The only other option is to use a floppy drive but *gasp* my laptop DOESN"T HAVE ONE LIKE MOST MODERN LAPTOPS!!!!

you can get usb drives to behave like floppies - i flashed my bios with one.

err...that is exactly what I meant (the flashing the BIOS part)

My BIOS updates are 16-bit (the installers in Windows) which means you can't run it in x64

Please tell me how you had your USB drive act like a floppy...

Yeah I figured it out...

After the tool configures the USB dirve with the Win98 Dos files (Win 98 lol)...I am going to flash the BIOS

I just tried it to have it fail/work (oxymoron I know...)

I saw the Windows 98 boot screen (almost made me die in laughter...look looks so horrible on my 17' laptop) but it just froze

I think I messed up the DIR tree on the flash drive...it will probably work this time
