So I've been getting this issue now for about a week now.

Lately I've been getting errors on my machine and the culprit seems to be explorer.exe. I start the machine it runs fine for 15-20 minutes and then slowly things start to freeze up. I tried to run a report in DriverView and it worked but it wouldn't export, should I say, explorer wouldn't open up. Then after 5 more minutes the machine would just lock up. I would reset it in safe mode look at the event viewer and the time it does all its stuff I get the error "The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load: NetworkX UsbCharger".

Can't find anything online with that exact term so I tried "NetworkX UsbCharger" and it came up with USB HUBS and down the page "Smart phone charger". My Apple charger was plugged in and I noticed it was frayed so I am curious if this is the culprit? I am going to try a reboot now but check my disk first, and keep my USB Charger OUT for my phone. Here's my machines info.

Part 2: I'm, in the machine right now is safe mode typing. Malwarebytes scan is in it's 23rd hour and found 2 malware on one of my 4-5TB external drives, hence 23 hours into the scan.

So I have a couple options, Clone my SATA O/S DRIVE to my 500GB SSD or do a clean install on the 500GB SSD of Windows 7 Pro. So any suggestions or thoughts feel free to lemme know.

Thanx

Open device manager. Is there any yellow alerts of missing drivers?

Run a System File Check
Open a CMD window as administrator and type:
sfc /scannow

Schedule a disk check
Open a CMD window as administrator and type:
chkdsk c: /f
It will say that the disk is in use and if you want to schedule to next boot = Yes

Sorry for being late as I am now in safe mode. tried everything you posted and I appreciate it but nothing worked. I did however find one of my drives came up with a bad block so I scanned it more in depth with a partition software and it it did find it but from the pc. I am glad for your input as it is my "Customers" drive so I am backing it up to an external.

So is it possible a seperate drive with a bad block be the culprit?

Thanx Huge Megahertz07 :)

Why are you in safe mode? It doesn't boot normally?
During safe mode boot you can see the drivers loading. Does it get stuck in a particularly driver?
If you have a bad disk attached it will slow down the startup.

Bad blocks is a hardware failure. Can't be repaired.
How many bad blocks you have?
Run Check disk regularly (once a week). If the bad blocks increases, it's time to replace the disk.

Do you have a Win 7 installation disk?

I’m in safe mode because if I go to regular mode as I stated my PC will run for 15 maybe 20 minutes and then lock up. It’s the explorer that’s doing it and for my life of me I can’t figure out why and unless it’s gotta do with that drive.

Yes I have a bad disk and like I said thank you very much for telling me to run those tests as I had run both of them on the C Dr. but none on the other drives so I am now moving my customers and their database over to an external drive.

It would appear that I only have one bad block so to repair that one what am I looking out for software that you would suggest? It’s just killing me to try to figure out if it’s the bad block why I get 15 or 20 minutes before everything freezes. I’m not 100% sure that it was only one block as when I got to the computer today I could see only one but the whole system was frozen up so I was unable to verify if there was more.

I run a small computer company so we have a RMM tool for about 200 devices and one of them is me and I have checked my customers and my drives every night and hasn’t come up with anything. And I know I checked all of my drives manually about two weeks ago and there was no bad anything on the drives so this is extremely new.

Yes I have a nonprofit agency in Canada here and I have an open license for all the operating systems but Windows 7 will be fading out but for right now I have unlimited Windows 7 disc‘s.

Thanx again HUGE. You have no idea how much I appreciate this.

Try this:
- Boot from the Win 7 installation disk, go to repair and launch a CMD window and type:
diskpart
list volume (find out the partition letter of the OS and the faulty drive)
exit (to exit diskpart)

Do a check disk on both partitions (OS and the faulty drive)
chkdsk x: /f (replace X with the appropriate letter)

Then do a system file check. Type:
sfc /offwindir=X:\Windows (replace X with the appropriate letter)

I do have Seatools for Windows installed as well but I have to wait for the files that are on the drive to finish copying to the external drive before I can do any of that.

The drive in question, there is only one partition for 2 drives. 2.5TB for all my customers info, recordings from Teamviewer, Belarc reports and basically everything that has to do with with anything for my customers. 2.5TB for all my customer backups when I am working on their machines here. Most of the time I backup everything to the 2-5TB drives connected to my Nighthawk X6 R8000 Router. So in reality the drive is number 3 out. So yes in Windows Disk Management it is Disk 3 with drive letters "G: "Customers" AND H: "Customer Backups and Files"

So I killed the disk copy as I need to get my invoices out, shall I try your suggestions?

Once again thank you HUGE. :)

Try this:
- Boot from the Win 7 installation disk, go to repair and launch a CMD window and type:
diskpart
list volume (find out the partition letter of the OS and the faulty drive)
exit (to exit diskpart)

Do a check disk on both partitions (OS and the faulty drive)

So Megahertz07 I did what you said with a little extra. I figured I had diskpart open I figured I'd test all the drives. Just the one showed up with 11 bad blocks. Safe mode so I can write my customers reports. Plugged ALL drives back restarted in regular mode, invoiced 6 customers in 30 minutes, PC still running fine, Task Manager reads 1:02:42:09 PC running flawlessly.

So Megahertz07 any thoughts where to go from here besides a new 5-TB drive LOL? Also Megahertz07 thanx HUGE :)

Yes I ran EVERYTHING you posted which I thank you. The drive is broke but when I plug a apple charger in then the phone the USB only makes one noise and keeps asking if I trust this pc. The cords are brand new, apple cert. and straight out of a sealed bag, 2 of them. I JUST plugged it in again, then the phone and all of a sudden my phone opens and pc works fine.

PC has been up for 1.5 days and I thought USB port so I plugged in "I've plugged EVERY flash drive I have into that port and bang they open the drive and show me what on it. 27 flash drive's, 6 external 2 tb drives, 6 5TB drives, 1 1tb drive, 1 320gb drive, 1 3tb drive think that's it. The 320gb drive almost NEVER WORKS 10% chance. This time works every time I plug it in." So bizarre.

I was typing in word and all of a sudden pc started acting weird, unplugged cell phone, PC running beautiful.

So much fun lol

Did you run sfc /offwindir=X:\Windows from the installation disk?
