When searching for information about Word's 'save' locations, I found the attached webpage. Some of the text is in English but I have no idea about the remainder. Is it a language or corruption of some kind?

No, it's not corrupt, it's in another language. Just a few key words may remain in English. That's the trouble with Google, sometimes the search results are for a page intended for a different country - and Microsoft's servers support a lot of countries and languages.
The URL is the key, yours includes /am-et/ which is the language/country code for Amharic-Ethiopia. Change that to /en-us/ then reload the page and it will all be in US English (or /en-gb/ if you prefer).
I also have W7 Pro on my System Two, and several W7 Hyper-V VMs. My other machines run Windows 10/11. Their specs are in my Ten Forums & Eleven Forum profiles.
