Media center guide updates apparently will end in January 2020

Running Windows 7 pro on an HP z210 . Using a Hauppauge WINTV 1850 tuner card. While updating the guide, I recently received a message stating no guide updates will be available after January 2020. The message was in a box and there was no way to determine from where the message was sent.


I like Media center. Especially when there are programming conflicts it can tell me if a certain program can be recorded at a later time. I don't know of any other service which can so this.


My questions:

Q1.) What will you do to update your Media center guide after January 2020?


Q2.) What substitute have you found for Media center?

I use a program called EPG123 which requires a subscription to Schedules Direct. The cost of a Schedules Direct subscription is currently $25.00 per year. These work very well and in my opinion, worth the cost.
