I have used ashampoo v9 for some time with xp Pro 64 buit without problems.

I have now moved over to Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit and reinstalled ashampoo v9 which is supposed to be win 7 friendly.

However, no matter what brand of dvd I put in my drive, I cannot get it to accept a dvd as suitable for burning onto.

I am using the same dvd drives, same dvd brands I have always used.

Anyone got any advice?

I don't want to keep flipping back and forth from win 7 to xp whenever I want to burn a disk.

Why not use Windows Media Player?i burn all my videos off it and it works a treat.

Failing that you can use convertxtodvd
I used it and it works great.

For days I havent been able to burn a video file to a DVD via Explorer's burn method. Followed your advice and WMP burned a video without incident. Its rather easy too. I can drag files from Explorer and drop them into the burn list of WMP.

Thanks for posting the info! Rep added
