Win7 on an i9 12th gen machine

Just amazing what this person has achieved. Win7 running on an Intel i9-12900 PC with a Samsung NVMe 980 installed and an NVIDIA Geoforce RTX 3080

Yes, it is very impressive.

It is gigabyte z690 gaming x d4，we also test on MSI pro z690-a and ASUS z690-p，both of them can work on win7 and win8.1.

I have vista running fine on gigabyte b365 motherboard (8th gen intel cpu ). There is one driver for vista I cant find (acpitime.sys) but it doesnt seem to be critical.

The Samsung NVMe 980 he's installed is a Gen4 SSD that according to HP will not work as a Gen4 with an Intel CPU less than gen11. Well, he's using a gen12 CPU with Win7 running that Samsung SSD. Amazing grunt ...

Looked at Wikichip for both the MSI pro z690-a and ASUS z690-p. The MSI reportedly can enable CSM, so booting Win 7 off it has one less hurdle to overcome, but the ASUS is a UEFI class 3 with no CSM capability. He is one very clever chap.

I was able to successfully install and run Win 7 off an HP 250 i5-8265U. Added 16Gb RAM and a 1Tb Crucial P5 NVMe. All the bits work (including the touchpad) and I've been able to use the Biostar UHD620 driver (and later a modded UHD620 driver from 2019) for the HD graphics. Crucial have released an NVMe driver for their P series in March 2021 for Win7 (named legacy driver). Realtek have released recent network drivers that work in Win7, and similarly for HDA drivers.

Yet none of that compares with successfully running Win7 off an i9-12900K with 64Gb RAM and a Samsung 980 NVMe. Extraordinary.

Can I ask how did you get the ME and ACPI thing working without any 其他裝置 no driver error in the device manager
Am I supposed to find any other driver in somewhere?
