Can i clean install Windows 7 Home on a HP 690-0073W
desktop, that came originally with Windows 10 Home, using a Windows 10 Home product key from that machine?

This unit was previously sent back to HP for repair under warranty for a hardware issue.

There are
2 Windows 10 Home keys (1 for the original installation & 1 , i guess, for a reinstall after they fixed the hardware)
&
1 Windows (BIOS OEM key)
associated with this unit.

I really wanted to run Win 7 on this desktop, but looking into this further there're too many reasons not to go down this rabbit hole:
the activation issue (w/out a SLIC 2.1 table)
Win 7 install to NVME
USB 3.0
probably several driver availability issues

Thanks for the consideration, though!

I have Win 7 on a M.2 NVME drive. That isn't a problem.

There are many people with Win 7 on a 9th Intel generation.

... if you have Win7 drivers for your particular hardware. Otherwise it could be a problem.
