How to change the system font and size globally in all dialogs

One of windows´ long time flaws is that it doesn't allow you to globally change the system font/size. The default font is Segoe UI and it will stay in several places, notably Control Panel and its applets, regardless of what font and size you set in Personalization/settings
I know it´s possible to override this, I reckon it requires a third party app and possibly some file editing. I'm OK with that, so how do I go about doing it? Thanks in advance, I know this has been covered before but I couldn´t find the right thread using the search bar so I might as well ask

I suppose you could increase the DPI scaling level below a bit to help, but it does increase the size of everything.

DPI Display Size Settings - Change
The problem with that is that it increases the size of everything, icons, bars, etc. and some apps and games get messed up or no longer fit on the screen

I know there was a thread that covered my problem from several tears ago, I just can't find it. You and another notable user were in it

You could try option three below to change the default system font to be a font you want. Using a bold font may help make it stand out more. It doesn't change the size, but may help make it more readable.

Arial Bold is a nice font.

Agreed, Arial bold is very good, I already use it. My old eyes still could use some size increase. If I could only find that thread, man. I did it years ago. I think the other user in it was called Bongo or something like that, is he still around?
