r3dfox is release branch Firefox made to work on Windows 7/8. Also with limited compatibility for XP using OCAPI and Vista using the extended kernel.

Did I post this in the wrong place by accident? I saw the other threads like the latest Firefox versions one and thought it was correct, but I now see mark as solved and stuff. I'm new to this site and was suggested to share my browser here.

It's working great for me. Youtube works. I was able to install 2 extensions (ubock and disable html 5 autoplay) and 1 theme. Now I need to decide which one to use permanently.

I was able to copy over my bookmarks, history, and logins but I'm not sure if form information made it. Firefox isn't showing up when I go to import profile.

If you can, check on a Windows 10 VM with latest Firefox 124 and r3dfox 124 to see what happens. If you don't want to VM, you should be able to run stock Firefox 124 with VxKex and maybe can check that way. Also try the 115 ESR version of Mercury-Win7 to see if it's a custom compile thing if stock Firefox 124 is fine.

R3dfox on host (7): 38
Firefox 124 & R3dfox on Windows 10 VM both returning 107.
Checking edge on 10 I got 44.
Brave 1.41 and SWware Iron 109 on host returning 44.
Supermium on host is returning 103.

I assume this is some sort of anti scraping detection, as scrapers or bots can use useragents that make 0 sense. Considering the useragent in normal Firefox is just hard coded to report as Windows (NT) 10.0, seeing a Firefox 124 useragent with a different Windows version looks suspicious.

With r3dfox on 7, go to about:config and make a new string named general.useragent.override with this as the content then try again.

Could it be the profile then? We've ruled the browser itself out. Unless the useragent was messed up, it should be appearing as normal Firefox 124 on Windows 10. That leaves the browser profile.

I checked this site: What is my user agent? - WhatIsMyBrowser.com It says:

Try aboutrofiles, make a new profile and start in it. Then try the search.

I noticed on the theme I installed (Cosmic cloud) the minimize, maximize, and close buttons are hidden. If I put my mouse over them I can see a faint shadow as the buttons are highlighted at the top of the window if it isn't maximized. The issue exists on a new profile. It doesn't happen on Windows 10. Trying some other themes it happens with some but not others.

I see. So mozilla changed something in a version past 115 and didn't attempt to make sure that it's compatible with Aero since they've decided to stop supporting it on 7 the last Windows version with Aero.

I haven't been here in a while.I've installed r3dfox, but it has no resemblance to my Waterfox, which is very outdated, but still runs XUL. Can I copy over my Waterfox profile?

Where do I put my bookmark bar?
How do I get those apps off my homepage? I don't use any of those sites except Youtube, which I access from a bookmark.. My home page should be aldaily.com.

Which ESR? I tried 115ESR, but it eliminates certain features on the page, for instance, boxes and lines that separate things. All the text is just joined together.
I've forgotten how to attach images to this.
