Have you tried "slmgr /ipk [your_product_key]"?Good afternoon:
My Win 7 Pro states I have a phantom copy. I'm unable to upload the product key. Any suggestions
Don't know why I can't thank more than one poster!!! So Thank You. Most is working there is an issue with creating a "New Folder" I can create it, but unable to rename it. I don't use this unit "online" it is mostly used to play DVD/CDs as this is the only thing I have with an appropriate driver. I have Win 11 on the PC I'm using now. I could not drag and paste your link to the questionable unit. I had to load Win forum on a thumb drive and then take the link to another Win 7 PC to load it. This will be my last Windows product. Will be switching to Apple.run this tool, copy/paste the output..... no such thing as a phantom

Hello, haven't been here in awhile (I never posted much) but I'm glad to see the forums are still here. I miss Windows 7 and the GUI, especially when I upgraded to 11 and saw the new desktop context menu. Thankfully there was a registry hack to fix it back. Will be looking to purchase two older computers soon with Windows 98 and Windows 7 to play some retro games so thought I sneak back around.
Welcome to Seven Forums. Here because I'm old, set in my ways and am not a fan of any version of Windows beyond 7.
So, there...
Welcome to Seven Forums.Hi from the outer rim of the german rustbelt....
Still think W7x64 is still the best MS OS and use it daily - but installed Solus Budgie a year or so ago to
learn that. So ive a double boot system. Now im on to a bigger hardware upgrade for my old FX8350
system to a more modern Ryzen one. And that was exaclty what brought me here.
And i dont wanna leave Win7 because a marketing suit somewhere decides i have to.....

Greets from Seattle.
New to the forum but not forums. I normally only read the forums and never sign up, so I uess I am here to plant myself a chair and rust while drinking my coffee.
I spent 30 years on computers (mostly) TRS-80's, COCO 1-3, Commadores 64, 128, Didnt really get into desktops until about 1986' then I bought my first 486/DX2/66 and got used to playing with them and repairing them.
Later buying a AMD Crossfire Xpress 3100. I have always Loved (Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista (not at first, had to grow on me), Windows 7 ( I played around on Windows 8, 10, 11 after two years of playing on those, I HATE them) Not for linux, but the cross over and methods. (anyway) Now I use Windows 7 and Linux Mint LMDE 6 as my goto for everything.
Now I am here for no good reason, just decided to show up. maybe be of use somewhere to pass the days away for now.
