Infinity Ward recently announced that their upcoming game Modern Warfare 2 would not have dedicated servers. Instead, a service called IWnet is being implemented. What does this mean?
I think this is a great video response full of information as to how and why Infinity Ward has decided to make this decision of no dedicated servers for MW2. I agree with him that it is killing the competitive community and I am boycotting the game for sure.
Anyone else got an opinion on this? I think that IW just got greedy and are trying to get more bang for their buck. I shudder to think what would happen if more game companies decided to test their luck with this strategy. It would destroy all mature gaming and the online communities they thrive in.
