I have the Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit RC from earlier this year, build 7100.

I have a HP LaserJet 1320 whose drivers were a devil to install on XP, but it's automatically handled by Windows 7 and I couldn't be happier... it prints and seems to work OK now.

Trouble is the otherwise-heavenly Windows Update keeps listing a driver update for the printer, but the installation of that update always fails w/ code 80070103, which doesn't have any useful information.

The update is known as "Microsoft driver update for hp LaserJet 1320 PCL 5."

When I install, it creates a restore point, looks like it is all proceeding fine, than proclaims "Some updates were not installed" and says Windows Update encountered an unknown error."

If it works with the currently installed drivers, I wouldn't worry about it. If you really feel the need to update the driver, go to the HP site and get it from there. Set update to ignore the driver.
