The version number ( 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1 ) is one I am not familiar with... My suggestion is a clean install with 6.1.7600.13685 to avoid any compatibility issues....

Your copy of Windows may not be genuine, and that may ( not necessarily though ) be the cause of your problem... I will try and have someone analyze your .dmp file...

My collegue Tews asked me to take a look at your dump

Basically it shows three distinct problems
first ancient drivers. If you are running 7600 as it shows you have drivers from as far back as 2005. those will make for instability and crashes. I auappect that you did not do a clean install and hence the old drivers.

these are the oldest
ASACPI.sys fffff880`05091000 fffff880`05099000 0x00008000 0x42476c4c 3/27/2005 9:30:36 PM

second the file that probably caused the crash is Epfwndis.sys That is a part of your ESET AV.

SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000007e)
This is a very common bugcheck. Usually the exception address pinpoints
the driver/function that caused the problem.
Always note this address
as well as the link date of the driver/image that contains this address.
Some common problems are exception code 0x80000003. This means a hard
coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but this system was booted
/NODEBUG. This is not supposed to happen as developers should never have
hardcoded breakpoints in retail code, but ...
If this happens, make sure a debugger gets connected, and the
system is booted /DEBUG. This will let us see why this breakpoint is
happening.
Arguments:
Arg1: ffffffffc0000005, The exception code that was not handled
Arg2: fffff880016c7655, The address that the exception occurred at
Arg3: fffff8800d10cf78, Exception Record Address

Third from the failure to read the memory at the above location you may have a memory issue, or heat issue.

I would
Update the above drivers first.
second update the ESET app
third download memtestx86 and run it for several hours (preferably overnight)
If you are overclocking STOP
I would also run a system file check to verify and fix your system files
to rin it type cmd in search>right click and run as admin> SFC /SCANNOW

let us know the results
If you still crash upload the dumps so we can refine our search

Hope this helps

You are welcome. your version as listed in the crash file is the current one.
7600.16385.amd64fre.win7_rtm.090713-1255. But if you upgraded from vista, all the drivers were not ugraded

The major problem I would deal with first is the ESET, then the drivers like bios, video, etc. and the memory overnight soem night to be sure.

Good Luck Mate

No further evidence of the cause of the problem.
Please remove the ESET NOD32 and leave it off the system while testing.
BE SURE TO install another antivirus (preferably a free one) for use during testing.

Please try these instructions for running Driver Verifier:
Using Driver Verifier is an iffy proposition. Most times it'll crash and it'll tell you what the driver is. But sometimes it'll crash and won't tell you the driver. Other times it'll crash before you can log in to Windows. If you can't get to Safe Mode, then you'll have to resort to offline editing of the registry to disable Driver Verifier.

So, I'd suggest that you first backup your stuff and then make sure you've got access to another computer so you can contact us if problems arise. Then make a System Restore point (so you can restore the system using the Vista Startup Repair feature).

Then, here's the procedure:
- Go to Start and type in "verifier" (without the quotes) and press Enter
- Select "Create custom settings (for code developers)" and click "Next"
- Select "Select individual settings from a full list" and click "Next"
- Select everything EXCEPT FOR "Low Resource Simulation" and click "Next"
- Select "Automatically select unsigned drivers" and click "Next"
If no drivers show up, then select "Select driver names from a list" and click "Next"
Then select all drivers NOT provided by Microsoft and click "Next"
- Select "Finish" on the next page.

Reboot the system and wait for it to crash to the Blue Screen. Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly. The objective here is to get the system to crash because Driver Verifier is stressing the drivers out.

Reboot into Windows (after the crash) and turn off Driver Verifier by going back in and selecting "Delete existing settings" on the first page, then locate and zip up the memory dump file and upload it with your next post.

If you can't get into Windows because it crashes too soon, try it in Safe Mode.
If you can't get into Safe Mode, try using System Restore from your installation DVD to set the system back to the previous restore point that you created.
If that doesn't work, post back and we'll have to see about fixing the registry entry off-line.

More info on this at this link: Using Driver Verifier to identify issues with Windows drivers for advanced users
Older drivers still on the system, please update ASAP:

BAD_POOL_HEADER (19)
The pool is already corrupt at the time of the current request.
This may or may not be due to the caller.
The internal pool links must be walked to figure out a possible cause of
the problem, and then special pool applied to the suspect tags or the driver
verifier to a suspect driver.
Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000000000003, the pool freelist is corrupt.
Arg2: fffff8800796bf90, the pool entry being checked.
Arg3: fffff8800796bf90, the read back flink freelist value (should be the same as 2).
Arg4: ff7ff8800796bf90, the read back blink freelist value (should be the same as 2).

i had a similar problem with the BSOD and it turned out to be a faulty memory module. My Laptop refused to boot even though i had power lights, but no screen or HDD activity. I had previously tried the cable/battery out and pressing he power switch to clear all power/static from the system. But that failed to revive my laptop, so after reading a few other forums i found the following solution. ...

i had 2 x 2gb DDR2 simms, so took 1 out and tried to boot and worked like a dream, no problems since. Just to be sure that it was that simm that was faulty i took the working one out and tried the faulty one by itself and the laptop refused to boot. So i have now only got 2gb ram but a working laptop ... fair trade i think :)

i used the old fashoned way ... took out 1 Simm at a time then rebooted until i found the faulty one. Alternately Windows 7 has a memory testing option from the boot menu screen. or get an app to do it such as Memtest86 or Windows Memory Diagnostic both are freeware
