I'm having major issues and hope someone here can help - please!!!!
I've just bought a new PC with W7 preinstalled. I've had a look at windows live mail but don't like the look of it. I'd much rather stick with outlook 2003. I've installed it from disk several times now and every time it fails to work - 'Microsoft Outlook has stopped working'. It then gives me two options, debug or close. Neither one fixes the problem. I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times. The rest of office pro 2003 works fine, it's just outlook - the one programme I really want. I have hundreds of e-mails filed away into lots of folders on my old PC and REALLY need these on the new one. Please, any advice would be gratefuly received!:cry::cry:

Do you have service pack 3 installed for 2003? If not install it, it could make a difference.

Hello

I can confirm that Office 2003 including Outlook works fine with Windows 7.

I have it installed and working on Windows 7 Ultimate with no issues at all.

Have you tried going to Office Update to see if your installation is up to date?

Bye for now

Kevin

Hi there

The public beta of Office 2010 will be available sometime this week.... Im not sure that Outlook 2003 is even supported in Windows 7...

Office Pro 2003 includes Outlook and does work in W7 (at least in a Virtual machine as I use Outlook 2007 on my main machine).

I think even Office XP Pro which is older still works in W7. Haven't tried that but its easy to test in a VM --that's why I like VM's -- make for very quick easy testing to see if typical software works or doesn't.

As a previous poster said --download preview Office 2010 -- it's FREE and you'll get nearly 1 YEAR before it expires -- by which time there will be a myriad of decent cheao solutions.

Cheers
