I have 32bit
but mine was taking 20 sec to open and same for a new tab
they said restore to another point but I did not
a few days later it was taking 45sec and i ignored it
yesterday i was using instant messenger and somebody sent me a link which opened with IE
I realized it opened normally

I have no idea what happened, I have not done anything I can think would have had any effect
it just seemsto work better again
If you can, use another browser and ignore it for a week

On top of screen, tools. Click on tools manage add ons and finally run without add ons, by uninstalling them. If it runs correctly enable add ons one at a time to find out the cause

Same Problem

I had this same problem after i installed Sphinx Firewall Control, I had to uninstall it. Had a problem opening links, and it was very slow like everyone has stated. One other thing i have to say is Windows 7 is fantastic and IE8 is very fast on my computer. The bootup time in windows 7 is faster than any windows i have ever owned, and shutdown is super fast about 4 or 5 seconds. Since upgrading from Vista to Windows 7 i have had no problems at all, except for the latest windows 7 update that caused my monitor to go black. Its kind of goofy the way it fixed itself, what i did was unplug the analog cable from the computer and plug the digital cable in then it worked. I restarted my computer with the digital cable then it stopped working again then i plugged my analog cable back in then it started working again and thats the last problem i have had. Every thing is smooth as silk. Also i am new here and not the best writer in the world but i can get my point across.
