Sir Richard Branson has unveiled the rocket plane he will use to take fare-paying passengers into space.

SpaceShipTwo was presented to the world in Mojave, California.

The vehicle will undergo testing over the next 18 months before being allowed to take ticketed individuals on short-hop trips...

Alan Shepard just went up and down on his space shot. He went 115 miles up. I would think 68 miles would not get you weightlessness until you started down and then you "feel" like you are weightless. That is like hitting the brakes too hard in your car.

That's what I was thinking. They already do that for training, in big jets.
